Disney Family Day at Oakland Museum of California
I went to the Oakland Museum of California a couple weeks ago on the weekend and photographed this special event while there with my family, Disney Family Day, for fun. I was amazed, here we are in the San Francisco Bay area, not even near Disneyland, and this wonderful event is happening for families. Wow.
Nearby to the Oakland Museum of California, and supposed to also be an inspiration for Disneyland is Children’s Fairyland.
In addition, Behind the Magic - 50 Years of Disneyland is happening through August 20, 2006. It is a wonderful show celebrating Disneyland’s 50th anniversary, not to miss. Of course I didn’t photograph inside the show within the museum so you have to go visit to see this show!
This exhibit was last at the Henry Ford Museum which is an amazing place I’ve heard and read about. My guess is that Walt Disney would have loved this Museum. In addition, the famous Greenfield Village is there.
